There are a few things that i will be bringing up at this weeks meeting
1. Members acting on their own, again. We are not a group of one man clans we are 50 members who must act in accordance to the rules and protocols that we as members voted on and approved. Recently there has been several members who have forgotten this and how it has shaped us into the clan we are today. Most recently a new member was kicked out based on a silly comment made rather than explaining to him or warning him about his comments. regardless of anyones feelings protocols should have been followed. Period, end of discussion. Why should we take the time to discuss and make the rules if they are not followed? If the rule does not work then we fix it. However that is a decission that we make together not on our own. furthemore, untill the rule is changed then we are bound by it wether we agree with it or not.
2. All of our rules and protocols should be discussed and either left as is or changed to suit new ideas and goals.
3. As it is that we have rules, there needs to be a system in place to deal with those of us who break them, otherwise why have them at all. This was brought up, by me, a couple of weeks ago and it was voted down because the feeling was that everyone understood and would follow our clan proocols. This is obviously not the case. As such we need to now put one in place.
4.The matter of Dem's booting of Mason needs to be discussed and possible conciquences decided upon. Understand that my problem with the boot is not so much with the actual act but the manor in which it was carried out and the fact that this is not the first time that Dem has decided to act on his own. Also please do not misundrstand me, i do trust Dem and respect his oppnions but as leader it is my job to make sure that we all follow the rules and proceedures that we have set up It is my oppinion that an elder in this clan needs to act as an elder of a clan and not as an individual. Also i would like to add that i do not appriciate my demotion being overturned behind my back. I made my intentions very clear, Dem knew that he was being demoted, he even made the comment that if it happened he would get over it. The repromotion was unwarented and should not have happened. We have all given new members the rundown when they first get in. Part of that is to direct them to our website where we expect them to follow our rules, but we do not need to? Part of it is telling them to have a thick skin, but we do not have to? Part of it is to ask them if that think they can follow everything we explain to them, if they can't then we let them know that this may not be the clan for them. Do we not need to expect the same of ourselves?
5. It has been brought up that in order to stop further infractions of our rules that we eliminate many of the elder positions. That we limit it to a group of 5 or so to act as a proxy leader for acceptance or denial or new members if the clan leader is not on. The thought is that it would take the power to boot from all but a few most veted and trusted members.
6. It has also been asked that we discuss the idea of a feeder clan again.
